We have always have had encampments and villages throughout Turtle Island for various Spiritual, Economical, Harvesting and Political Needs. Encampments were made up of families from two or three Clans in winter for resource conservation. Various type of camps were established by runners carrying a message or trade or warriors organizing defense campaigns as well as hunting party’s
Villages made up of various Clans commonly referred to as a Tribe were also established for economical, social, spiritual and political reasons.

ACTION’s Base Camp: Amik Council Fire Oshkimaadziig Unity Camp Oshkimaadiziig in the Anishinabek Language refers to the New People of the Anishinaabek Seventh Fire Prophecy who will pick up the many things left on the trail to ensure Humanity’s survival in the Eighth Fire. Oshkimaadziig Unity Camp is located at the Amik Doodem Council Fire; one of five Aninishinaabek territorial council fires acknowledged within the Anishinaabek-Haudenasaunee Alliance Belt. This Council Fire area is currently illegally occupied by the so called Province of Ontario’s Awenda Provincial Park. ACTION.
